Mini 7s Camogie

Well done to our school's Mini 7s Camogie Team who took part in a blitz in Caherelly on Wednesday 2nd April. For some of the players, this was their first time representing their school for camogie and some of our players last time playing in the mini 7s. They scored some fantastic goals and did themselves proud. The girls beat Crecora in their second match and showed some fabulous skills and teamwork in their games against Doon, Tineterrife and Caherelly. Thanks to the referees on the day and the parents and grandparents who helped out with lifts and cheered the girls on from the sidelines.

Mackey Cup Squad 2025

Congratulations to our two boys from 6th class who have made the 2025 Mackey Cup Squad. They will be representing the schools of East Limerick in the coming weeks and we wish them the very best!

Larkin Shield East Limerick Team 2024

Congratulations to our two Knockea students who took part in the Larkin Shield semi-final last week. Unfortuntely the West Limerick team were the winners on the day but it has been a great experience for the girls and they have enjoyed every minute of it.

Girls Mini 7s Blitz

Well done to our Mini 7s girls who played in the Mini 7s blitz in Caherelly on a very sunny Monday afternoon on the 11th November. The girls played Caherelly, Roxborough and Crecora on the day. We came up against very strong Caherelly and Roxborough teams in our first two games but in our last game the girls gave it their all with some fantastic goals and points in their last game and came away with an excellent win! Well done girls!

East Limerick Players - Larkin Shield

Congratulations to our two players from Knockea who made it on to the East Limerick Larkin Shield team this year. They had a challenge match on Wednesday 6th November against the City Limerick team and they will face the West Limerick team in the semi-final next Thursday 14th November in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. Wishing you and your teammates the very best of luck, well done girls we are so proud of you!

Girls and Boys football training

Girls and boys football training for 4th-6th class will start next Wednesday (18th) in South Liberties pitch after school until 4pm.

Máire Hourigan Cup

The Máire Hourigan Cup tournament was held in South Liberties on Thursday 13th June. Donoughmore, Scoil and Spioraid Naoimh and Crecora all travelled to play on the day. Congratualtions to Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh on winning the cup this year. Our Knockea girls tried their best to retain the title, giving it everything they had and winning 2 out of 3 games but a last minute goal was the difference between the winners and ourselves on the day. Thank you to the Hourigan family, the referees, everyone involved in training the girls and everyone who came out to show their support on the day. A special thanks to all our players in Knockea and well done to our 3rd class girls representing their school for the first time in this tournament. To our 6th class girls, thank you for all the hard work you have put in over the last few years on the team. Girl's Camógie Blitz in Doon

Huge well done to our girls from 3rd, 4th and 5th class who travelled to Doon last Tuesday, 21st May to play in the camógie blitz. The girls played against Doon and Crecora and there was some excellent battling for the sliotar and teamwork shown on the day. Well done girls!

Girls 12 a Side Gaelic Football Blitz

Well done to our Girl's Gaelic Football team who took part in the 12 a side blitz on Thursday 12th October. The girls played 4 matches and played some excellent football throughout the day. There were some fantastic scores from midfield and our forwards and great defending from our backs and our goalies made some excellent saves. Unfortunately we didn't qualify for the final but the girls did themselves proud.

12-a-side Camogie Blitz in Doon

Well done to all our Camogie girls from 2nd to 6th class who played in the camogie blitz in Doon on Thursday 18th May.

Indoor Camogie Blitz

Well done to our camogie girls in 5th, 4th and 3rd class who played in the indoor camogie blitz on 14th February in Caherconlish. They played three thrilling matches against Murroe, Caherconlish and Ahane. The girls had a great win over Murroe, they then played a very strong Ahane side who got the win by 2 goals and the last match was a brilliant game where a draw was the fairnest result between Caherconlish and Knockea. The girls did their school so proud and we wish Ahane the best of luck in the next round as they topped the group on the day.
