4th class pupils are really enjoying Maths stations twice a week. There are three teachers in the room working at stations to help with several topics in the Maths curriculum. Stations include problem solving, daily 10 questions on the whiteboard, revision work on the previous weeks topic, card games using tables and the topic of the week reinforced in small groups with the class teacher. This is a great chance for the boys and girls to practise their maths skills while having fun at the same time.
Guided Reading takes place three days a week and allows time to develop and enhance the skills of literacy. There are five stations - familiar reading, handwriting, grammar, new reading & comprehension practise. These stations are very interactive and are proving to be a very enjoyable time for the boys and girls.
