• Scoilnet.ie:- Scoilnet, a Department of Education website, has a multitude of resources

for teaching and learning Irish in both Primary and Post-Primary schools. These can be

accessed using the search function on the homepage. www.scoilnet.ie

• TG4 Foghlaim: foghlaim.tg4.ie TG4 Foghlaim is a resource designed for learners of Irish

in both primary and post-primary. It is based on material from the TG4 program archive

We would encourage you and your team to consider what supports can be utilised to

support the teaching and learning of Irish for all students in your school.

• Nuacht Anois Post-Primary digital resource for schools which publishes a new news

article each day that references current stories in the news or topics relevant to the

a news service in Irish for the Irish speaking community in Ireland and abroad.

• Nós Magazine: - www.nos.ie NÓS is a cultural magazine that covers the common

interests of contemporary life.

• Raidió Rí-Rá Podcasts: www.rrr.ie/podchraoltai/ Raidió Rí-Rá is a chart-station for

young people, playing pop and music on the charts from morning to night, but with Irish

language talk pieces intertwined with the playlist.

• Online English-Irish Dictionary Foclóir.ie is an English-Irish Dictionary that is available

free of charge. It has been adapted to work both on desktop computers and on mobile

devices. As well as translations for the English content, the dictionary also contains

examples of the word in context, grammatical information and sound files. The sound files

help with the pronunciation of words in each of the three major dialects.

• Freagra is a helpline that will check or translate short phrases and also gives you access

to a professional translator who can give advice on terminology and grammar. It can be

accessed via e-mail Freagra@Freagra.ie and promises a quick response to queries on all

aspects of the Irish language.
