The Máire Hourigan Cup tournament was held in South Liberties on Thursday 13th June. Donoughmore, Scoil and Spioraid Naoimh and Crecora all travelled to play on the day. Congratualtions to Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh on winning the cup this year. Our Knockea girls tried their best to retain the title, giving it everything they had and winning 2 out of 3 games but a last minute goal was the difference between the winners and ourselves on the day. Thank you to the Hourigan family, the referees, everyone involved in training the girls and everyone who came out to show their support on the day. A special thanks to all our players in Knockea and well done to our 3rd class girls representing their school for the first time in this tournament. To our 6th class girls, thank you for all the hard work you have put in over the last few years on the team. We are so proud of you all and we will miss you next year, wishing you all the best in your new schools! Ms. Horgan & Ms. Reilly!
