4th Class travelled to the Cement Factory this morning. What an amazing experience! We started in the conference room where we learned how cement is made and we also looked at the safety procedures needed around the plant. Small boxes of rock pieces were passed around and we had an opportunity to see some limestone which we studied in our Geography lesson. Aiden had a close call with the box of the raw meal!!!!!!
Before we went on our tour, we all put on our hard hats, high vis jackets and safety goggles. We got to see the quarry, kiln and control room. Before we departed we each got a goodie bag.
